Job Overview

The role of a Technical Development Manager involves driving all technical aspects of renewable energy and storage projects, from inception to construction. This position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as expertise in civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to other technical development managers and the broader team on civil engineering related matters.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to deliver measurement campaigns, layouts, energy yield assessments and optimised balance of plant concept and tender designs.
  • Undertake value engineering and business case optimisation.
  • Engage in the technical and techno-commercial aspects of EPC, S&I, BOP and O&M contract tender and negotiation processes.
Requirements
  • A relevant civil engineering bachelor's or master's degree is essential.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the renewable energy and energy storage industry in client-facing roles is essential.
  • An analytic mindset with the ability to identify and summarise complex topics in a structured and concise way is required.
  • Familiarity with the interface between commercial and technical aspects of a project is necessary.
  • Comfortable communicating within a techno-commercial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation, ability to prioritise and meet demanding deadlines.
