About the Role:

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VR Experience Designer and Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing immersive learning experiences that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on assigned content areas to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and customers to align design with mandatory learning outcomes.
  • Develop high-quality design work, either based on templates or entirely new, customizing for varying requirements from project to project.
  • Work within a cross-disciplinary team to design and project manage experiences from concept to delivery.
  • Lead partner teams around the world to help them build experiences to our standards, quality levels, and processes.
  • Communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business needs and outcomes, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to efficiently juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Use Unity to improve user experience and fix bugs in projects, diving into the code as required to get the job done.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of game or game-adjacent design experience.
  • Experience working within Unity 3D with some programming knowledge.
  • Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience communicating design concepts to programmers, artists, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
