About the Role

As a Program Leader at Gateways Support Services Inc., you will have the opportunity to empower individuals with disabilities through high-quality support in our Camps and Recreation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Support Staff: Provide positive leadership and support to staff, clients, and volunteers in group programs.
  • Program Development: Set up and lead programs for people with disabilities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with families, staff, volunteers, participants, and supervisors to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Professional Behavior: Demonstrate attitudes and behavior that respect the dignity, rights, strengths, needs, and interests of adults and children with disabilities and/or additional needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Operate within the sector's legal, service standards, Gateways mission, and policies, as well as ethical frameworks, to provide high-quality services.
  • Technical Skills: Possess a high standard of computer literacy, including experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Carelink.
  • Scheduling: Commit to a minimum of 3 days per week during school holidays and be available for weekend shifts, Friday evening shifts, and other times as negotiated.
