Cultural And Social Development Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive the strategic direction for our social and cultural infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will lead the development and delivery of plans that place our community at the forefront of what we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a vision for proactive and positive development of our Cultural and Social infrastructure
  • Lead the development and delivery of Council plans related to social and cultural initiatives
  • Foster a high-performing team environment, identify gaps, and provide solutions
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in community development, cultural and social infrastructure planning, town planning, social sciences, economics, commerce, infrastructure advisory, or business management
  • Able to think creatively and drive outcomes through partnerships
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, consultation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of the interface between public wellbeing, urban design, and community planning to achieve positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes
  • Experience in policy and strategy development and implementation, with ability to deliver research, analysis and conceptual thinking
  • Demonstrated project management ability to develop, administer and manage projects with diverse outcomes
