Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Parklife Metro. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of all mechanical systems on the SSTOM project.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with extensive knowledge of railway systems and building services. You will be responsible for developing and executing commissioning plans, schedules, and test procedures for all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other railway-specific mechanical installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning Planning and Coordination
    • Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, and test procedures for all mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline and goals.
    • Coordinate with design, construction, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities.
  • System Testing and Verification
    • Conduct thorough tests on mechanical systems to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with design specifications.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot issues during system testing, collaborating with engineering teams to implement solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning records, reports, and punch lists to track progress and identify outstanding issues.
    • Review and approve commissioning test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation for handover to operations.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance
    • Ensure commissioning activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize risk during testing and commissioning.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate mechanical system commissioning and resolve technical challenges.
    • Provide regular updates to project management and stakeholders, addressing any issues impacting the commissioning schedule.
