We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Parklife Metro. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering aspects of our metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and ventilation. They will be able to manage the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure they meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Project Planning & Design Coordination: Review and ensure mechanical system designs align with project specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Construction Management: Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and ventilation in accordance with approved designs and project timelines.
  • Procurement & Materials Management: Assist in the selection of mechanical equipment and materials in line with the project requirements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review mechanical engineering documents, including technical reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Project Cost & Time Management: Monitor mechanical project expenditures to ensure alignment with budget allocations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the rail, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects. They will also have a solid understanding of relevant codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, and local building regulations.
