**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team as part of a landmark metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a QMS that aligns with industry standards, project requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Quality Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish quality objectives, plans, and strategies.
  • Quality Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and prepare comprehensive reports on quality performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant regulatory requirements and ensure project activities comply with all legal and safety regulations.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in quality management, quality assurance, or quality control, preferably within the railway or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Familiarity with railway infrastructure projects and construction processes is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
