Job Title: Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial strategy development, contract negotiation, and administration.

  • The Commercial Manager will be responsible for ensuring that commercial terms and contract conditions are optimized to manage risk across the Renewable and Thermal Business Unit portfolios.
  • This includes managing the administration of the portfolio of contracts across each asset, leading the negotiation of standard terms and service level agreements with key suppliers and consultants, and resolving contractual issues or disputes.
  • The Commercial Manager will also plan, coordinate, and supervise key activities relating to the finalisation of major delivery contracts for the Renewable and Thermal Business Unit assets.
  • This includes working closely with the delivery team to lead the administration and management of those major delivery contracts.
  • The Commercial Manager will lead and coordinate the procurement of certain development, consulting, construction, operations, and maintenance-related contracts and manage the tendering process, evaluation, and selection of suppliers.
  • This also includes negotiating contractual terms and providing contractual and commercial advice to the development, delivery, and operations teams to deliver improvements in performance, cost, quality, and safety of renewable energy, storage, and hydrogen projects.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrable commercial acumen through end-to-end delivery of contract strategy development, contract negotiation, and contract administration during project development, delivery, and operation.

You will need to have sound knowledge of procurement and commercialisation principles and renewables industry best practices and experience in delivery contract formation such as EPC.

You should be collaborative in your approach and able to balance both internal and external stakeholders.

You should possess exceptional communication skills and be able to manage complexity whilst driving results.
