About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Datadog, a leading company in the AU market, as a Principal Sales Engineer. As a key member of our growing team, you will play a critical role in understanding customer needs and demonstrating the value of our platform to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Datadog's product offerings and observability trends.
  • Contribute to the success of strategic sales opportunities by collaborating with the account team to devise and enrich sales strategies.
  • Deliver tailored customer demos, executive briefings, and product training sessions to ensure prospective customers have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of strategy for entering new markets and works alongside account teams to build relationships with customers.
  • Proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog product, sales, and sales engineering teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or as a Chief Technology Officer deploying observability & security technology.
  • Strong entrepreneurial ability and desire to make a large impact.
  • Passionate about educating customers on observability and security risks that are meaningful to their business.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Experienced in programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and.NET.
  • Extensive background in Enterprise positioning and line of business value selling.
