About the Position

The primary responsibility of this job is to provide high-quality support to people with disabilities and young individuals, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored support to empower individuals in daily living activities, emotional guidance, and community engagement.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development to foster independence.
  • Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support to promote well-being.
  • Support community participation and recreational activities to encourage social integration.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans that cater to individual needs.
  • Advocate for customer rights and promote independence through safe and trauma-informed environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services.
  • A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • An NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
