Financial Strategist Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial professional to lead our business advisory division in Melbourne, Australia.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex financial information, preparing strategic reports, and providing expert business advisory advice to a wide range of client groups.

  • Develop clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
  • Assist team members with work and act as a mentor/buddy;
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
  • Prepare documents for client meetings with senior partners;
  • Help identify, research and resolve complex financial issues;
  • Prepare and analyze management accounting reports;
  • Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax;
  • Provide general business advisory advice and support to a wide range of client groups.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional certification (e.g. CA, CPA)
