Job Opportunity: Community Engagement Specialist

This role is focused on facilitating stakeholder engagement to support community-led approaches in managing established invasive species at the regional and local level.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional staff and statewide teams to deliver community programs promoting shared responsibility between community and government.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with stakeholder management and conciliation experience, to achieve effective organisational outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in agriculture, biosecurity, social sciences, or natural resource management.
  • Knowledge and experience in community engagement, community development, and relationship management methods.
  • Understanding of rural community challenges and ability to engage with community volunteers in delivering government policies and services.
