Position Overview

As the Technical Engineering Leader, you will guide, motivate, and empower a group of skilled engineers while overseeing a variety of stimulating projects. You will engage in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including roadmap and strategic planning.

We seek a technically adept leader who can effectively manage a team of engineers and collaborate with Technical Leads and Product Owners to deliver innovative technology solutions. You will be passionate about coaching, mentoring, and guiding team members toward success.

  • Lead a group of talented engineers by enhancing and refining the team's operational methodologies.
  • Encourage and promote principles of simplicity, quality, speed, scalability, value, and innovation within the team.
  • Oversee and contribute to the team's sustainable delivery approach, prioritizing quality and customer satisfaction in all outcomes.
  • Possess experience in software architecture, with a deep understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, the significance of automation, and the effects of technical debt on team performance and software results.
  • Drive innovation in products and services aimed at enhancing customer experiences while scaling systems to accommodate a growing customer base.
  • Assist in formulating, interpreting, and executing our technology strategy while ensuring adherence to technology standards across your team and the broader organization.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in people leadership, with a focus on motivating, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
  • Experience in architecting and constructing robust, scalable cloud platforms for high-traffic environments, ensuring reliability and performance while optimizing costs.
  • Familiarity with professional software engineering practices and best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Fluency in modern technology practices, including management and leadership methodologies, with a background in coaching and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, with an understanding of how technical decisions influence software risk.
  • Experience in software design, with a comprehensive understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, the importance of automation, and the implications of technical debt on teams and software outcomes.
