About the Capital Project Engineer Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key position in our core mining operations, supporting both the Huntly and Willowdale sites.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to ensure mining capital projects are well-planned from the start.

The role offers flexibility with work location, with opportunities to work from home one day per week. The primary site will be Willowdale, with support also required at Huntly.

  • Develop practical and effective solutions for various project scenarios.
  • Oversee project planning and approvals, guiding projects through their initial stages.
  • Manage the full delivery, control, and closure of all approved projects.
  • Monitor and report on the capital plan, ensuring financial health and transparency.
  • Evaluate projects strictly against project delivery and authorisation procedures.

You'll bring advanced stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to this position, gaining exposure to key stakeholders within the organisation and insight into the entire bauxite mine operating process.
