Job Title: Test and Evaluation Manager

We are seeking a skilled Test and Evaluation Manager to oversee the testing, evaluation, and development of explosive products and ballistic systems.

  • This role involves supervising and training team members engaged in analytical procedures on propellants, ballistics, cast composite, and high explosives.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in laboratory calibrations, standardization procedures, and quality control techniques.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required, with certified workplace trainer & assessor skills highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of ensuring compliance with safe working practices and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing technical work requiring routine and non-routine knowledge
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring team members involved in test & trial site activities
  • Understanding, developing, and implementing Quality Control techniques
  • Ensuring compliance with safe working practices and maintenance operations within the work area
  • Functioning as an ISO/IEC 17025 signatory where applicable
  • Undertaking duties as a Clearance Officer for the area of responsibility

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Certified workplace trainer & assessor skills highly desirable
  • Availability to work site-based
  • Meeting Defence security clearance requirements, including being an Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance
