About the RoleAs an Acquisition Manager - Assisted Channels & Offers in our Consumer Cards team, you'll play a key role in helping define the strategy for acquiring new-to-bank Credit Card customers through the Assisted Channels (branch network, contact centre, mobile broker) and engage value stream partners to execute a plan that will deliver the optimum mix of product, channel and offer to drive front book revenue growth.
You will also be responsible for defining the acquisition campaigns/offers for credit cards holistically for all channels to deliver on the broader acquisition and product strategy for CCPL, EDB and Retail. You will lead the relationship with our delivery partners in Customer Engagement, Digital, etc. to align the acquisition plans and objectives to the broader Retail and Everyday Banking Strategy. You will also play an important role in owning the relationship and collaborating with Credit Risk and Operations team to deeply understand our policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines in order to improve the approval rates of our new to bank acquisition cohorts and deliver on our objectives.
This role will be responsible for optimising the application experience for Assisted Channels to ensure a seamless experience for customers
Key Accountabilities
- Define and execute the acquisition strategy for consumer credit card specifically for Assisted Channels (branch network, contact centre, mobile broker)
- Actively manage the assisted channel requirements and provide support needed to effectively utilize their channels to reach and acquire customers
- Define acquisition campaign/offers for consumer cards to help deliver on acquisition strategy and meet short term objectives
- Create financial year plans aligned with finance, product and customer engagement (the optimum mix of product, channel, offer and customer to deliver on our financial objectives)
- Identify key customer segments and create compelling acquisition offers and propositions that meet their needs
- Closely monitor the performance of acquisition cohorts (credit quality, application volumes, approval rates, activation rates, spend, balances and attrition) and evolve the acquisition strategy based on these data points to deliver optimal returns
- Management of acquisition and credit risk polices and impact of responsible lending requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve cost of acquisition, approval rates, customer spend, etc., to drive sustainable growth
- Work closely with product to define product propositions that will meet the needs of key customer segments and deliver scalable acquisition
- Understand and anticipate market trends / customer needs
- Utilize key partners (Argus, RFI, affiliate channels, etc.) to understand our performance vs. our competitors and identify pockets of opportunity
- Optimizing customer onboarding experience from application to activation
- Respond to regulatory change in a manner that limits impacts to our customers
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in Credit Card acquisition (or other retail lending products) essential
- Leadership of complex program delivery across large-scale programs of work in a complex environment
- Commercial acumen, experience working closely with Operations, Risk, Finance and Legal
- Demonstrated experience working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally (boards and regulators)
- Effective communicator, can effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to success
- Financial services and banking experiencing
- Adept at fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading, motivating and developing team members
- Proficiency in effectively prioritising and allocating people and resources based on project priorities and strategic objectives
- Proven expertise in managing program budgets, tracking expenses, analysing P&L statements and identifying cost-efficiency opportunities
