We are seeking a skilled Staff Backend Engineer to lead the development of scalable, low-latency systems that power discovery features.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience building and scaling backend systems with a focus on search and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Designing and implementing scalable architecture for search and recommendation systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements to discovery systems
- Representing Discovery Understanding Engineering in collaborations with product managers, designers, and other teams
The successful candidate will have:
- Deep experience building and scaling backend systems with a focus on search and recommendations
- Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements to discovery systems
- Proficiency in Java at a staff level
- Strong foundation in data structures and system design
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
