About Our Mining Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Production Leader to join our team at Northparkes.

This key role involves overseeing the safe, timely, and high-quality production of ore for the mill. Reporting to the Mine Production Superintendent, you will work closely with a dedicated team of operators and collaborate with other underground departments including services, development, maintenance, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and mentoring your crew to deliver safe and efficient ore production
  • Maintaining tight schedules and ensuring quality standards (grade, size, moisture)
  • Driving safety conversations and improving risk assessments
  • Collaborating with other teams to achieve project objectives
  • Supporting team development and recognising great work

You will be part of a site known for its innovation and teamwork, with a long mine life and a vision of a century of mining together.

About You

With a strong foundation in underground mining and proven leadership experience in production environments, you possess hands-on expertise in block cave and sub-level cave operations. Your leadership style is grounded in practical know-how, a commitment to safety, and the ability to build trust and performance within your crew.

  • Demonstrated experience in block cave mining or sub-level cave production environments.
  • Strong understanding of underground production environments, including automated/remote loaders, crushers, and conveyors.
  • A current Underground NSW Mine Supervisor Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 1 year in a Production Supervisor role.
  • At least 5 years of underground mining experience.
  • First Aid, Working at Heights, security clearance, and a current Driver's Licence.
