Job Title

Life Without Barriers seeks a compassionate and skilled Care Worker to deliver trauma-informed care and support to children and young people in residential settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, providing daily care, supervision, and transport while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the impacts of abuse, neglect, and trauma.
  • Facilitate family involvement through contact arrangements and relationship development.

Requirements
  • Hold current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) certification.
  • Hold an Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
  • Confidence in supporting individuals with disabilities, including those who exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to form professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
