As a leader in emergency services and security, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of people and operations at a gold mine.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires strong leadership skills and experience in emergency response, security, and medical functions. You will oversee budgets, training, and equipment maintenance while representing the organization in various forums and committees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and engage teams to deliver best practice outcomes.
  • Oversee departmental operations, including budget management and training programs.
  • Represent the organization in mine rescue committees, competitions, and community groups.
  • Ensure compliance with site certifications and legal requirements.
  • Manage the onsite medical centre and maintain site access systems.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Response (essential)
  • Control a Level 1 Incident / Incident Management qualification (desirable)
  • Certificate III or II in Security Operations (desirable)
  • Extensive experience in emergency services and/or security in mining
  • Strong leadership background in team environments
  • Familiarity with systems such as INX, Gallagher Command Centre, emqnet, and Best Practice
