ERGT's Mining Emergency Services (MES) capability is set for major expansion in 2026, driven by increasing demand from leading industry clients. To meet this need, we're strengthening our team of experienced Emergency Response trainers at our Jandakot training facility — professionals who are ready to share their expertise and help shape the future of safety in high-risk industries

Your New Role

As a Trainer & Assessor, you'll deliver nationally accredited, scenario-based training in areas such as:

  • Provide advanced first aid
  • Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
  • Participate in a rescue operation
  • Conduct fire team operations
  • Undertake vertical rescue/Undertake confined space rescue
  • Work safely and follow WSH policies and procedures
  • Undertake road crash rescue
  • Respond to work site incidents
  • Apply risk management processes
  • Drive under operational condition

You don't need to cover every skill area — if you're confident in a few and passionate about sharing knowledge, we want to hear from you.

You may come from fire & rescue, paramedicine, defence, aviation, industrial response, or volunteer emergency services. What matters most is your passion for safety, ability to inspire others, and practical response experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue or PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Services)
  • First Aid certification
  • Practical emergency response experience
  • A strong safety mindset
