Fraud Operations Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the operations business, driving a high-performance culture, and delivering on the fraud strategy. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in protecting customers by reporting and remediating fraud and scams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of people leadership experience in an operations business, with demonstrated expertise in fraud and scams. They will be able to lead an operations team of 15, coaching and enabling them to deliver high-quality service and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Minimising harm to customers and the organisation resulting from fraud and scam events
  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders regarding fraud risk and vulnerabilities
  • Execution of team resourcing, development, and engagement within a corporate framework
  • Supervision of the operations team performance and compliance
  • Generation of insights and trends reporting
  • Compliance with SLAs and industry regulatory requirements
  • Support in assessing and managing material and escalated fraud events
  • Expansion of fraud monitoring and assessment capabilities into new products and typologies
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience in an operations business
  • Demonstrated expertise in fraud and scams
  • Fraud or financial crime-related qualifications are highly regarded but not essential
