Operational Leadership Role

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for someone passionate about people management and operational efficiency.

As an Operational Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of 15 to 20 staff, driving a performance culture that is both customer-centric and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support your team to meet and exceed individual and team KPIs through structured coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and compliance
  • Manage workflow queues and resourcing to meet service level agreements and business requirements
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive data-informed solutions for operational improvements and automation
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities to build capability and engagement within your team
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Compliance, Process Design, and external stakeholders including providers and government bodies
  • Analyse data and reporting to identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

The successful candidate will have strong operational acumen, a passion for developing people, and a desire to contribute to meaningful outcomes.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience leading large operational teams in complex environments—preferably within health insurance, financial services, or banking
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performance through effective coaching and leadership
  • Strong understanding of operational management, including resource planning, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
  • Experience in navigating regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
