Support and Inclusion Specialist

Job Description:

As a Support and Inclusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering inclusive environments where every child can participate, learn and thrive. You will collaborate with early childhood education and care services to ensure equitable access to quality education and care for all children, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing individualised support plans for children with additional needs in collaboration with educators, families and specialists
  • Providing guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices, ensuring all children can engage meaningfully in the learning environment
  • Assisting in sourcing and utilising specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, in line with guidelines
  • Promoting understanding and awareness of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children

About the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting children with additional needs is essential
  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Preferred) or equivalent Certificate III in Education Support is required
  • Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate is necessary
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check is mandatory
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQS principles is highly valued
  • Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices is expected
