About the Role

We are seeking an experienced People & Development Manager to join our dynamic team at Budage Pty Limited. As a key member of our P&D team, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of effective people strategy, initiatives, and operations across the partner and employee life cycle.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager - P&D Generalists, you will be responsible for providing strategic business partnering to relevant stakeholders, including the Sydney Partner in Charge, on all people matters to support the achievement of the strategic goals and objectives of the Firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement people leadership strategies to drive high employee performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver effective people initiatives and operations
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, succession planning, culture, and engagement
  • Lead the development and implementation of workforce planning strategies
  • Design and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Manage performance management, reward, and recognition programs
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to HR
  • Provide reporting and key business metrics to stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the P&D function in the Sydney office
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience in a human resources manager-level role with business and financial acumen
  • Ability to lead, manage, and drive high employee performance
  • Experience in advising on and managing employment relation matters with autonomy
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Technical capabilities in Microsoft suite and people metrics
  • Experience in legal industry is highly desirable
