Job Description

The Manager – Private Business and Family Advisory will play a pivotal role in driving growth and ambition for our clients and team members. They will provide comprehensive advisory services, including asset protection, business performance, business reporting, accounting and taxation management, wealth protection, and general change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Management: The Manager will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistency in exceptional client service. They will conduct thorough analyses and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored strategies to enhance clients' financial and operational performance.
  • Workflow Management: They will coordinate and prioritize workflow management among direct reports, ensuring tasks and projects are allocated efficiently and completed within agreed timelines.
  • Team Development: The Manager will contribute to the development of the team through continuous knowledge sharing and ongoing personal career growth.
  • Career Coaching: They will provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have at least four years of supervising, leading, and mentoring staff in a business advisory environment.
  • Degree-qualified and having completed CA/CPA qualification.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Now Infinity, Practice Ignition, and Great Soft.
  • Ability to undertake various tax planning recommendations for clients and prepare financial statements and tax returns for multiple and complex entities.
  • Possesses a positive and proactive approach to delivering superior support and commercial advice to clients.
  • Strong numeracy and analytic skills with the ability to interpret and make sense of data.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to be agile with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, honesty, and influence both internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with supervisor and staff and ability to coach, mentor, and lead staff.
