About Our Role

The Health & Safety Business Partner supports and partners with key stakeholders to build the Generation & Development portfolio's Health & Safety knowledge and capability, while providing specialist advice and coaching to ensure the Generation & Development team are focused on high risks and maintain a suite of controls to mitigate unwanted events.

This position promotes a high-performing, positive, and proactive workplace health and safety culture focussed on meeting our HSE objectives and statutory requirements. The role will primarily support the Principal Health & Safety Business Partner at Eraring Power Station while also closely supporting the broader HSE and Generation & Development community.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of site-based health and safety management plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the health, hygiene, and wellbeing strategy and initiatives for Generation & Development in collaboration with the Corporate Health and Safety team.
  • Conduct contractor HSE assessments.
  • Lead and support change initiatives to promote continual improvement and ensure that Health and Safety Management Systems are implemented effectively, add value, and are user-focused.

The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships. You will work closely with contract owners to ensure that health and safety risks are identified and assurance is undertaken as per the requirements of our Contractor Management process.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a HSE role within heavy industrial organisations or technical gas or electrical roles. You should have knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, risk management, contractor management, incident investigations, and experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring.
