Job Title: Community Paediatrics Specialist

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to work as part of the Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Community Health Team.

The role involves providing integrated community care to optimise child and youth health outcomes, wellbeing and lifetime potential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical management and consultation services for children and young people with developmental-behavioural problems
  • Delivering clinical consultation services within NSLHD and participating in teaching and training of medical students and other health professionals
  • Leading service development activities, including planning, interagency collaboration and evaluating models of care to improve access to timely and comprehensive care

The successful candidate will be expected to promote a population health approach and participate in health promotion, quality improvement and research initiatives.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with subspecialty in Community Child Health or General Paediatrics
  • Demonstrated commitment to the CORE Values: Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment
  • Extensive Community Paediatric/Developmental and Behavioural/Child Protection Paediatric experience
