Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at John Hunter Hospital.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and managing critically ill children, communicating with parents and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote best practice and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in paediatrics, intensive care, anaesthesia, or emergency medicine.
