Senior Environmental Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team in a challenging and rewarding opportunity that contributes to our commitment to environmental sustainability.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices in the mining industry. They will be responsible for facilitating compliance with regulatory requirements, developing environmental approval applications, and providing supervision and support to the Kalgoorlie Operations team.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in the mining/resources industry, a Bachelor's Degree in an Environment related discipline, and excellent knowledge of environmental impacts and controls associated with mining and processing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee compliance with all regulatory and company standards, ensuring monitoring and reporting activities are completed on time.
  • Coordinate technical studies required to support environmental approval applications.
  • Prepare environmental approval applications to ensure operational continuity of the sites.
  • Interpret legislation, government guidelines, and approvals to guide site operational teams in maintaining compliance.
  • Champion environmental approvals processes and support the implementation of the sites' Environmental Management System (EMS).
