Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team. As an ASX 50 global-scale gold miner, we have sizeable operations in Western Australia and Alaska.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding our core values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Results.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Environmental Advisor reporting to the Environmental Superintendent.

  • Oversee compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Coordinate technical studies required to support environmental approval applications.
  • Prepare environmental approval applications to ensure operational continuity of the sites.
  • Interpret legislation, government guidelines, and approvals to guide site operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage environmental monitoring data and trends.
  • Liaise with key external stakeholders, including Government regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead significant environmental incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Team's objectives, targets and plans.
  • Participate in sustainability projects and business improvements.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum five years relevant experience in the mining/resources industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree majoring in an Environment related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Excellent understanding of environment, mining and heritage legislation in WA.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental impacts and controls associated with a mining and processing operation.
