Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Directorate at CQUniversity Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex financial transactions, performing detailed data analysis, and ensuring accurate system configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and settle accounts receivable and payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyse and identify financial inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on financial procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable and payable, including reconciliation and settlement of transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements, including ACCC Guidelines for Collectors and Creditors and Office of Fair Trading guidelines.
