Job Overview

The Software Asset Management (SAM) Associate role entails responsible delivery of key managed SAM outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage software requests and resolver groups using IT Service Management technology.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date software asset register, including proof of entitlement and contract evidence.
  • Allocate licenses to users and devices in the Software Asset Management system.
  • Implement license reclamation policies on software inventory.
  • Provide technical support for software installation.
  • Respond to licensing inquiries from stakeholders.
  • Maintain current software renewal calendars.
  • Deliver effective reports on license position and software utilization.
  • Identify and report compliance issues and potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of software asset management principles and industry standards.
  • Technical expertise in IT, including proficiency in ITSM tools like Service Now, Cherwell, and Remedy.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
