We are seeking a skilled Agile Project Lead to join our team in the vibrant city of Sydney.

Job Description:

  • As an Agile Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating key Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • You will guide team discussions, workshops, and decision-making processes, while addressing and removing any blockers that may arise.
  • The successful candidate will provide ongoing support, coaching, and education to the team and stakeholders on Agile principles and best practices.
  • This role involves fostering a shared understanding of solutions across feature teams, managing cross-functional dependencies, and ensuring all team dependencies are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • You will keep the team focused on key program priorities, milestones, release schedules, and the overall program roadmap.
  • This role requires identifying opportunities for process improvement and tracking the impact on team burndown and velocity, providing visibility for informed decision-making.
  • You will assist in the planning, execution, and roadmap management of a portfolio of work, delivering regular program updates, including risks, issues, and escalations, on a bi-weekly basis.
  • The Agile Project Lead will manage stakeholder relationships through clear communication, effective negotiation, and proactive issue resolution, ensuring stakeholders remain engaged and project deliverables are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills in the public sector
  • Strong knowledge in the field of technology
  • Ability to manage a large team effectively
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to handle budget and resources of the department
  • Understanding of public sector regulations
  • Ability to handle conflicts and issues effectively
