About the Role:

As a Heavy Maintenance Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled service work, fault finding and troubleshooting tasks on locomotives at our Kooragang site in Newcastle. Initial training will be provided at our Hamilton North location.

About You:

  • Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Mechanical or Electrical
  • Working experience in a maintenance environment is essential – Preferably rollingstock maintenance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable & punctual
  • General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity
  • Commitment to a safe work environment and practices
  • Focused on quality work & customer service excellence
  • Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity
  • Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity
  • Lathe operational experience desirable but not a necessity
