Trainee Aged Care Career Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and supportive individual to join our team as a Trainee Aged Care Worker. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in aged care without prior experience or qualifications.

You will work part-time, 15 hours a week, with the potential to increase your hours up to 35 per week. The traineeship is set for 24 months, after which you can transition into a qualified role.

As a Trainee Aged Care Worker, you will assist residents with their daily lifestyle and activities in a residential aged care setting. You will be partnered with a workplace buddy/mentor who will guide and support you throughout your training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
  • Bed making, room tidying up
  • Feeding
  • The setting of tables and meals for residents
  • Social and activities

Requirements:

  • Great attitude

  • Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will get this for you)
  • Valid working rights in Australia and residency in Australia
  • Permanent Resident or Citizen status to access State Funding
