Aged Care Career Starter

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in aged care with our supportive and established team.

  • We are seeking caring, reliable individuals who are passionate about working with the elderly.
  • No experience or qualifications are required as we provide comprehensive training on-the-job and for 12 months to gain your Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021).
  • You will be assisted in Residential Aged Care settings with daily lifestyle and activities.

Our organisation is expanding its team to meet the growing demand for services.

  • We offer part-time trainee positions with a minimum of 15 hours guaranteed and up to 35 hours per week.
  • A set 24-month contract for the traineeship with locked-in shifts agreed during recruitment.
  • Upon completion of your qualification, you will move to a qualified rate within 12-15 months.

As an Aged Care Trainee, you will receive support from:

  • A workplace Buddy/Mentor
  • The Facility Leadership Team
  • The Learning and Development Team
  • The Registered Training Organisation
  • Ternary throughout your full traineeship

What We Are Seeking:

  • Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will obtain this)
  • Valid working rights in Australia and residency in Australia
  • To access State Funding (for the training), you must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen
  • Regular availability to work AM shift 6:30am to 2:30pm, PM 2:30pm to 10:00pm, and attend training 9:30am to 4:30pm
  • Minimum 3 days a week, Monday to Sunday
Duties:
  • Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
  • Bed making, room tidying up
  • Feeding
  • The setting of tables and meals for residents
  • Social / Activities
  • Listening, building rapport, and working with a range of clients and other staff
