About New TureeNew Turee is an O'Brien family-owned and Nash family-operated cattle breeding, backgrounding, and finishing pastoral company with operations at Cassilis ("Yarralee"), Woodville ("Stradbroke") and Coolah ("Old Turee") in New South Wales.About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and committed Private Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at the Stradbroke station, located near Woodville, NSW.
This is a casual position with regular weekend shifts, including overnight stays (generally every second weekend).
Flexibility is highly valued, as hours and days of work may vary based on the client's evolving needs.This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the life of an individual living on the station, supporting their independence and wellbeing in a familiar and meaningful rural setting.We are especially looking for candidates located in Maitland (2320) or within approximately 30 minutes of Stradbroke, who can be available at short notice.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide social companionship and emotional supportAssist with transport to appointments, shopping and outingsDeliver respectful and dignified personal careSupport with grocery shopping and errandsUndertake light domestic duties including cleaning and laundryPrepare and assist with mealsCommunicate effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionalsMaintain accurate records and report wellbeing changes or concernsFoster a warm, trusting and respectful environment at all timesKey Behavioural Indicators (KBI's)The successful applicant will demonstrate empathy and compassionAct with integrity and professionalismBe adaptable and flexibleShow reliability and accountabilityCommunicate effectively and work collaborativelyUse initiative and sound judgementDisplay attention to detail and cultural awarenessCommit to safety and wellbeingExperience & QualificationsCertificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent)Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)Current Working with Children CheckNational Police Check clearanceAbility to work autonomously and adapt to changing environmentsGenuine passion for supporting the elderlyMinimum 12 months aged care experience (residential, home, or community)Experience supporting clients living with dementiaUnderstanding of rural or remote care environmentsExperience with manual handling and mobility assistanceIf you are interested in this position and meet the qualifications, please apply with your resume and cover letter.
