About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at YMCA NSW. As a 2IC, you will play a key role in supporting the Coordinator in designing and delivering a safe, effective, and fun out-of-school-hours care service that aligns with YMCA NSW's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Coordinator in developing and implementing programs that promote the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Oversee a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging programs that meet the needs of children and families
  • Work closely with Y NSW families, schools, and charity partners to turn the Y's global mission into local action
  • Manage a dynamic team of Educators, providing guidance and support to ensure individual growth and development
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the Y's learning and development library and national/international opportunities
Requirements
  • Experience in leading others and managing a team
  • Ability to critically reflect and develop innovative learning programs
  • Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care hours
  • Qualifications in Children's Services (Certificate III, IV, or Diploma) or equivalent
  • Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT001)
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • HLTAID004/HLTAID012 - Current First Aid and CPR
