Job Title: Employment Coordinator Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment Coordinator to join our team at Flourish Australia. As an Employment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health issues to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective job seeker support plans to ensure successful employment outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to local Mental Health teams on DES program guidelines and best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses and employers to source job vacancies for Flourish Australia's job seekers.
  • Conduct regular assessments and interviews to identify job seeker needs and create personalized employment plans.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within the Disability Employment Service industry.
  • Proven customer service skills with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to train and mentor colleagues.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence and proof of comprehensive insurance.

Selection Criteria:

  • Essential:
    • Experience within the Disability Employment Service industry.
    • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
    • Proof of customer service experience with demonstrable facilitation, presentation, mentoring and training skills.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and ability to fully utilise the client information management system.
    • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Desirable:
    • A personal lived experience of a mental health issue.
    • Qualifications in training and assessment, employment services or related fields.
    • Emerging knowledge of the local area and its health services and other community services.
