Job Opportunity: Grid Connection Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Expert to join our team. As part of the Grid Connection team, you will be responsible for supporting new generator connections and carrying out feasibility, planning, and power system studies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise – Oversee technically complex connection applications, feasibility studies, and compliance modelling (steady-state, RMS, EMT) to relevant industry standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Participate in the technical development of grid performance studies, ensuring adherence to national energy regulations.
  • Project Delivery – Oversee commissioning, compliance testing, and validation of renewable generation and grid assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Drive technical discussions with stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and be responsible for the technical quality of grid connection studies.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in power system analysis and renewable grid connections in Australia.
  • Proven track record leading projects from application through commissioning.
  • Strong capability with PSCAD, PSSE, or DIgSILENT simulation tools.
  • Proficiency in automation of simulations using Python programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of inverter-based and grid-forming technologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Full work rights in Australia.
