About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality direct care services to our clients and supporting them in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support clients with daily living activities and personal care needs, either individually or as part of a team.
  • Facilitate community access opportunities for clients, including social events and medical appointments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to monitor and report on client progress and health care.
  • Implement educational, skill development, and social activity programs for clients.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing clients' Individual Support Plans to ensure personalized care.
  • Provide person-centered support tailored to each client's goals and foster increased skill development and independence.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring a comprehensive understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and demonstrate a strong commitment to a person-centred approach. Your genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities will shine through as you assist them in achieving their goals and fostering the development of new skills.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Disability Services or Individual Support or acceptable alternative
  • A commitment to undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support within 6 months of starting, and to complete it within 2 years of employment.
  • Valid (DHS) Working with children check (WWCC) - employers check
  • Valid NDIS Worker Check
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
  • Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - New Worker NDIS Induction Modules and Worker Orientation Module
  • Ability to comply with Centacare Policy COVID-19 Vaccination requirements
  • Ability and availability to work outside of normal hours, including weekends, overnights and evenings
  • Must be willing to work extra shifts, as required
  • Willingness to transport clients either in a Centacare Vehicle or your own motor vehicle and comply with the Grey Fleet Vehicle Contract
