Aircraft Maintenance Leadership Role

Aviation professionals with experience in maintenance coordination or similar roles are sought after for a position as Aircraft Maintenance Manager (Flight Operations Support).

About the Opportunity
  • This is an opportunity to lead and manage maintenance teams, enabling maintenance outcomes that support serviceability and online metrics for the Apache flying program.
  • The selected candidate will monitor the Apache flying program and allocate aircraft to sorties, ensuring assigned aircraft are correctly prepared, configured, equipped, and replenished.
  • The role involves managing the flying aircraft by coordinating the aircraft replenishment and maintenance in support of the flying program.
  • The Aircraft Maintenance Manager will also coordinate the flying aircraft's transfer back to maintenance at the completion of daily flying, ensuring aircraft are prepared for the next day's flying program.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage maintenance teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Monitor the Apache flying program and allocate aircraft accordingly.
  • Coordinate aircraft replenishment and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure smooth transfer of flying aircraft between maintenance and flight operations.
  • Set priorities for daily maintenance requirements and ensure timely completion.
  • Release aircraft to operators after conducting required maintenance checks.
  • Provide technical assistance to aircrew during aircraft acceptance and release procedures.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Test Flight (MTF) activities to ensure aircraft meet safety standards.
  • Manage aircraft Rate of Effort (ROE) to maintain optimal maintenance plans.
  • Oversee flight line operations during fueling and flying to ensure safe practices.
  • Invoke the Emergency Response Plan as required to address any unforeseen situations.
  • Coordinate and assist aircraft movements to minimize disruptions.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in maintenance coordination or similar roles within aviation.
  • Experience working with maintenance management systems to track and analyze data.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of computer literacy to efficiently use software applications.
  • Experience working in a safety-critical environment with adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security clearance.
