We are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new growth opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue by positioning Sofitel as a preferred partner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively target and secure new business opportunities across all market segments.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to position Sofitel as the preferred venue.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed set KPIs and sales targets.
  • Proactively generate and qualify leads for conversion.
  • Maximize revenue by showcasing exceptional selling abilities and understanding client needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the Hotel's goals are met.
  • Represent Sofitel Gold Coast at key industry events and networking to enhance brand visibility and drive business.

Requirements

  • A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essential to succeed in this competitive industry.
  • You are a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in outbound sales and business development.
  • Deep understanding of market segments relevant to luxury hotels, including corporate, events, meetings, and group sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship management.
  • Experience with outbound sales, including face-to-face meetings, networking, and trade events.
  • Willingness to work varying hours and travel within the region for client meetings, field sales calls and events.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM systems.
