Key Responsibilities- Provide expert technical advice and support to claims teams on the claims management process, ensuring compliance with the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (SRC Act).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective claims administration strategies.
- Proactively manage litigated matters for self-insured licensees under the SRC Act, including providing instructions to legal providers and facilitating case conferences and resolution strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal providers and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular reports and updates on claims trends, decision outcomes, and feedback to the Claims Operations team.
- Identify and mitigate potential reputational risks in the Tribunal through effective management of litigated matters.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and insurance schemes, ensuring that our team's knowledge and expertise remain current and relevant.
- Extensive experience in Workers Compensation, with a strong understanding of the SRC Act and its application.
- Proven ability to interpret and work with legislation and insurance schemes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing competing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
