Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traction Linesperson Permanent to join our team. As a Traction Linesperson Permanent, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead traction power equipment following predefined work programs.

You will coordinate site protection, manage safe working practices, and implement environmental protection measures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Additionally, you will maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs, and costing systems.

Your role will also involve reporting on actual work performed against scheduled work program and equipment.

You will progress the implementation and application of work procedures in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work a 9 on / 5 off roster – day shift only with overtime required. Travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN) for scheduled maintenance and closures is a must.

About You:

  • You hold an Electrical Trade Qualification (mandatory).
  • A Certificate III in Rail Traction (highly desirable) and QLD Electrical Licence – Traction Linesperson (highly desirable) would be beneficial.
  • You possess a Current Class C Drivers Licence (mandatory) and HR Truck Licence (advantageous).
  • A High Risk Work Licence including Rigging, Dogging, and EWP is required.
  • You have substantial knowledge of overhead traction power equipment and relevant maintenance & installation standards.
  • You have strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • You have a high regard for safety & knowledge of WHS.
  • Previous supervisory experience is highly regarded.
