The Role

This position is the face of our residential aged care facility, responsible for reception duties including administration, resident care, on-call assistance, and floating to other departments as needed. This role is contracted on a casual basis.

About You

Strong management skills are essential, particularly in front-of-house operations, customer service, and data management. The ideal candidate will have experience in cash handling, record-keeping, and basic resident care duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sign-in processes when required
  • Answer calls, re-direct, transfer, and take messages at the telephone switchboard
  • Collate, distribute, and record incoming and outgoing mail
  • Handle cash transactions when necessary
  • Assist with data management, including resident photographs, Medicare cards, and pension details
  • Provide general administrative support for midweek staff
  • Maintain admission and discharge registers
  • Be the on-call contact for our team
  • Follow up on calls received and ensure corrective action is taken
  • Document client information in our systems
  • Offer emergency support assistance for infection control

Requirements

A minimum of 3 doses of Covid vaccination is a mandatory requirement for this position.
