Position Overview

The main objective of this position is to manage the Site Supervisors across multiple assignments, taking full responsibility for the planning, organization, and administration of the designated project site(s).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee construction initiatives, particularly focusing on Bridge and substantial Concrete Structures.
  2. Evaluate project blueprints, timelines, and specifications, providing insights on design, scheduling, potential cost-saving strategies, and foreseeing construction challenges.
  3. Anticipate operational needs, distribute labor and trade resources for assigned projects, ensuring optimal utilization of workforce.
  4. Assess the performance of construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  5. Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to participate in site meetings, engage with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to address project matters and resolve any arising issues.
  6. Manage the scheduling of material orders and conduct quantity takeoffs.
  7. Oversee budget management and communicate with the Construction Manager regarding any potential financial concerns.
  8. Identify, evaluate, and report on project variations.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management

  1. Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  2. Maintain oversight and accountability for the security and functionality of company-owned vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  3. Uphold and enforce superior construction standards and quality control regarding OH&S practices.
  4. Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and documentation is maintained at all times.
  5. Implement client management systems across assigned projects and recommend improvements to construction operations or procedures to enhance efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  1. A minimum of 3 years of field experience in a comparable role.
  2. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  3. Experience with Bridge and heavy concrete structures.
  4. Capability to manage multiple projects throughout South Australia.
  5. Exceptional supervisory, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  8. Familiarity with the applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices within the Australian Construction industry.

This is a full-time role, and compensation will be determined based on your qualifications and experience.

Applicants must meet any necessary requirements to safely perform their duties.

Successful candidates and their families will be provided with sponsorship and a pathway to permanent residency in Australia.
