The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a new challenge in our highly automated box making facility. In this role, you will join our dispatch team and be responsible for driving a counterbalance forklift, assisting with administration tasks, and helping to set up routes for our automated guided vehicles.

This is a varied role that requires the ability to work well in a team environment, communicate effectively, and use technology to operate robotic forklifts and other automated vehicles.

You will work in a brand-new, clean, and safe environment with allocated breaks during the shift. Our factory has a lot of automation in place, so there will be a need to use computers and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining optimal production levels by operating and relieving machines as needed.
  • Performing forklift duties, including attachments, to ensure efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Loading and unloading trucks using attachments to meet delivery times.
  • Using RF Scanning to track inventory and manage warehouse operations.
  • Contributing to general warehousing and housekeeping activities.
  • Maintaining compliance with OHS&E requirements.
  • Helping to control our Despatch AGVs (automated guided vehicles).

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and qualifications:

  • Prior experience in line manufacturing.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Holding a valid forklift license.
  • Comfortable using technology and familiar with dispatch systems.

An estimated annual salary for this role is around $85,000 - $95,000 AUD, depending on experience and location. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.
