Expert Speech Pathologist for Complex ENT Cases

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner Speech Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Flinders Medical Centre in Southern Adelaide.
About the Role:This position will involve delivering expert Speech Pathology services to patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders within the speciality area of Head and Neck cancer/ENT, including laryngectomy, tracheostomy, and altered airways.
- Maintaining a clinical caseload to provide professional expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education.
- Liaising with referring agents and other disciplines to ensure cooperative care planning and patient management.
- Developing and delivering new Speech Pathology services for Head & Neck/ENT Outpatients, focusing on patient-centred care that meets service KPIs.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- High level inter-personal and negotiating skills for effective communication with clients and staff.
- A Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent, giving eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Significant training and experience in conducting instrumental examinations of swallowing, including Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies and Functional Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality, safe care consistent with National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
